I love Dave Hill-his creativity, his vision, and his use of HDR. The man just blows me away. So, I thought I'd try a HDR shot for this week's theme. First is SOOC, cropped.

Wow great job I love the way his eyes pop. The only thing is his skin looks dirty but other than that I just love the look. Particularly his eyes and hair.
Beautiful conversion! The coloring of the 2nd one seems consistent with mood just emanating from that look he is giving us!
Wow...that is pretty cool. I love how it really makes his eyes come right out! I have tried HDR...I really don't get anything like this though...awesome!

I would have been perfectly happy with the SOOC. Your son has gorgeous eyes (even without photoshop). I don't know how I feel about the conversion (it's one of those ones that looks great on everyone else's pictures, but would look dumb on mine). It definitely creates a mood that rocks.

His eyes look awesome in the second photo! This technique made your photo look like an oil painting almost.. very cool!
This HDR thing is pretty cool, but in this case I actually like the SOOC one better. Love your composition of this shot.
