85mm. ss/320, f/3.2, ISO 400. Not a lot of PP done to it-high-pass sharpen, slight color boost, Phaunt's exposure action to correct a little bit of underexposure. Just disregard the goofy grin, faded GAP sweatshirt, and flat, fluffy hair. He's sick-he can't look like a model all the time. :)

B&W is Erin's wonderful freebie I snagged off her blog this morning-I had to play, I love it!

And, I'll join my girl Kristi in her "10 Things":
1. I hate any and all alarm clocks-whether they're waking me up, or going off in the middle of the day.
2. My calling and my dream is to run a Christian music concert venue in the DFW area.
3. I have a long-time addiction to HGTV, watch it constantly, and am in love with the designs of Candice Olson and Kenneth Brown.
4. I don't drink often, but when I do, I have a weakness for Malibu Coconut Rum.
5. I refuse to ever break a promise to my kids, even if it means fulfilling it at midnight.
6. I grew up on country music, and though I much prefer Christian Rock to today's country, my roots are still there, and when I'm stressed, I still reach for my Gene Watson or Johnny Lee CD.
7. I learned to read when I was 3-and I haven't been caught without a book since.
8. I love diamonds, and used to dream of being a cutter for DeBeers.
9. I have an addictive personality, and anything I throw myself into, I am guaranteed to run into the ground.
10. I love shoes, especially boots and mules-I can't resist buying boots in the winter, and mules in the summer.

I love you and your 10 on whatever the heck day it is!!! And I too hate alarm clocks! So add that to our list of things we have in common!! ;)
Girl...you TOTALLY crack me up. I also dream of diamonds. Your photos are always so precious to me...even more perfect than any diamond I could ever own. xoxox. Mandy
Seriously, I love those shots. I have no CC, just praise! The catchlights are fab!! I love your 10 things list, too!
Love your 10 list!!! I think the lighting on your photo is am amazing! Wonderful work!
Cari
I'm trying to figure out what CC to give you, b/c I'm really trying hard to be super critical.
You nailed focus...I like the DOF...the right side of his face still has great clarity in the eyes even though it is shaded more.
I think that spot would be perfect for a newborn.
I think I could only CC you if you were going for a more "I used lighting" look vs. the natural light look. It is dramatic, and the skin tone is nice on the b/w.
Maybe try turning him ever so slightly so that more light falls on the right side of his face. It doesn't make the photo better or worse, it just changes the lighting effect. I really like what you have going here though! Honestly!
Cheers,
jewels
I think the lighting is really good! Love the catchlights and the sidelighting!
I think your lighting looks great! The photo is awesome! I really enjoyed reading your top ten, these are really fun.
I have no expertise to give you CC, but as a consumer I would be very pleased with the quality if you were my photographer. :-)
Looks really good to me! I have no CC for you; I'm too much of a newbie. I think the photo is just beautiful as it is, and it was really fun reading Jewell's comments to you. . . she puts words to what makes the photo so appealing!
i don't think you have anything to worry about with lighting! you do wonderfuL!
tara
looks fantastic to me!! You nailed it, as always!
Oh those eyes...wow. I like your photo...sorry not much of an HCC'r yet as I am still learning myself.
Great 10 things
I wish I knew more bc you asked for cc, but they seriously look amazing to me!! They are awesome!
I LOVE the lighting here! Great job! I also love your 10!
The only cc I have with the picture is maybe just turn him slightly to his right, so you lose the shadow on his left... And I love your ten things, HGTV rocks and I love reading too! hugs, toni
Your lighting looks amazing!! I am so bad at cc plus I really love the shots :)
I really like the light. It's seems soft and warm. Do you have reflector to use on the other side of your subject?
I love the lighting in your photos here - great catchlights! I think to optimize your lighting there, I would turn him just a teensy weensy bit to his right to avoid having any dark-side-of-the-face thing going on. (but don't turn him full on facing the window)
I think the lighting is great!
